Jeff Woollen

Owner/Engineer

After gigging successfully in the L.A. music scene as musician/vocalist/songwriter for E.S.P. Band and Heads & Tales in the late ‘60s, Jeff moved to the Pacific Northwest and continued his efforts as composer and songwriter. In 1990 he shifted his focus to music production and recording engineering, and in 2000 he opened Raven Cries Recording Studio outside of Seattle. Jeff is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and a voting member of The Recording Academy (The Grammys).

Jeff has designed and equipped his studio to faithfully capture instruments and voices with the natural resonance and tone they were meant to exhibit. Using a collaborative work approach, Jeff lends his innate musicality and decades of experience as a composer and songwriter to bring out the highest potential in every song. With over 30 years of professional recording engineering experience, he creates productions that bring the artist’s vision into full focus.
